Laugh In Peace

More than 1,000 persons attended the Laugh in Peace performance Monday, November 12 starring Rabbi Bob Alper, Muslim comic Mo Amer, and Rev. Susan Sparks, an American Baptist minister.

Laugh in Peace is a comedy show that promotes interfaith action, multiculturalism and peace through the universal appeal of laughter.

Beneath the laughter is a serious message of healing, understanding and tolerance at a time when tension among different faiths is running high.

The House of Prayer and the ITSSM Interfaith Center are happy to have been a part of bringing this highly acclaimed event to Little Rock. A consortium of organizations joined together to make this evening a reality, including:

The Kumpuris Lecture Series was established by Katherine Ann Kumpuris Trotter, Dr. Drew Kumpuris, and Dr. Dean Kumpuris in honor of their mother, Kula Kumpuris and in memory of their father, Dr. Frank Kumpuris. The series is sponsored by the Clinton Foundation, the Clinton School and AT&T.
