Application for 2015 Camp

The Application Process

For all students, the cost of SUMMA is partially defrayed through donations, grants, and an endowment.

The cost to parents is $750. Students with demonstrated financial need may apply for a full scholarship.

Potential SUMMA debaters, along with parent or guardian, must submit the following:

  • Recommendation Form – to be completed by an adult who is familiar with the student’s ability and willingness to learn (for example a teacher, youth group leader, church minister, or program leader in which the student is involved).

A limited number of need-based scholarships for camp are considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Students applying for scholarships must complete a camp application (including recommendations) and a scholarship application. Once both completed applications have been received, the student’s camp application will be considered, and if accepted, the scholarship application will be evaluated.

Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Camp and scholarship applications are evaluated without regard to race, natural origin, sex, or physical ability.

Funding is limited and scholarships are not guaranteed to all applicants.
